Use Google Swiffy to Convert Flash SWFs to HTML5

google swiffy

Great news for creative Web designers and developers. Google introduced a Flash SWF to HTML5 converter named Swiffy. It is an online tool that can convert Flash SWF files into HTML5 format. Converted files can be viewed in Modern Web browsers such as Chrome and Safari without the Adobe Flash Player plug-in.

“You can upload a SWF file, and Swiffy will produce an HTML5 version which will run in modern browsers with a high level of SVG support such as Chrome and Safari. It’s still an early version, so it won’t convert all Flash content, but it already works well on ads and animations”; described Google product manager Marcel Gordon in a blog post.

Swiffy uses a compact JSON representation of the animation with ActionScript 2.0, that’s rendered using SVG, HTML5, and CSS. Gordon maintains that the converted file is interpreted in JavaScript in the browser that is almost as compact as the original.

So here you can use Google Swiffy to convert your Flash SWF files to HTML5 that do not need Adobe Flash Player plug-in to view your converted SWF.
